EVALUATION PROCESS

You will be required to submit a final report of your project.

Your report will include a summary of the project, the positive effects, and any difficulties encountered.  Include a summary of your expenses.  Accompanying photographs will be displayed on the TUHSEF website.

When Are The Grant Applications Due And When Are Awards Given?

The Grant Application is due on Friday, September 6.  Recipients will be notified of the TUHSEF Board decision  and will be created for teachers to access

All grant recipients will be invited to a TUHSEF Reception for award recognition by the Governing Board.

Grant Requirements and Restrictions

Grant applications will be reviewed by the Education Foundation Grant Committee.   The review process will follow a standard protocol determined by the Foundation.

Categories may include but are not limited to Materials and Supplies, Printing, Postage, Learning Resources, Audio-visual materials, Computer software and peripherals, equipment approved by the District, professional development, Consultant/Speaker, or other categories you deem important to the success of your project.

• The project must directly benefit TUHSD students and their success.
• The project must align with the TUHSEF mission and vision.
• Tempe Union employee wages and salaries cannot be funded.
• The grant is to supplement, not replace federal, state, or district school funds.
• Food and gift cards will not be funded.
• Extracurricular projects will not be funded if tax credit funds are available. Please check with your Principal.

Eligible Programs:

• Programs that support core subjects and electives
• Programs that support social and emotional programs
• Professional development opportunities for teacher instruction
• After-school academic learning opportunities for students
• Support student application of classroom knowledge to real-life applications
• Opportunities for students to get to know positive real-life individuals in various careers

Please read the following grant guidelines prior to writing your application.

• Create a Word document with your text and copy and paste the text into each of the sections of the application beginning with the Project Description.
• This project does not displace, replace, or supplant programs funded through the district.
• Your school Principal must support and approve your project.
• A written evaluation and budget summary will be submitted to the Foundation Board upon completion of the project.  Pictures are encouraged.
• TUHSEF has the right to use this project, if funded, for public information purposes or to help other educators.  Students who will be photographed must submit a consent form that is available at the righthand corner of the TUHSEF website.
